A few years ago I bought myself a guitar and took lessons. I was really frustrated one day and told my guitar teacher it was because I bought a crappy guitar. His reply was "Ani Difranco could make great music with that guitar." The point being, an artist with talent can reach their artistic goal no matter what tools they are given. Amanda exemplifies this sentimentality perfectly. She uses gear to which most camera snobs turn their nose up; but she uses it to be the artistic recorder of her and her loved ones’ lives and times. The fact that the photographs are emotionally engaging and visually stimulating is just testament to her photographic ability. I found Amanda's stream because we use one camera in common...yet again, my work with the same instrument falls far short of the master and leaves me jealous.

Amanda has a genuine, non-tricky way of taking pictures that I really respect. She takes chances, but her skill and eye for composition always helps her to pull it off. Plus, she’s insanely prolific which makes me want to go out and shoot more.

I really like Amanda's photographic style and the interesting documentary nature of her world that she captures. There's also her confidence to do her up on stage band shots that is to be admired. She has a good eye.

Amanda's one of the best e-friends I've ever met! I love her style, esp. when she shoots AnneMarie or R'n'R Concerts!
