The EANM is a non-profit medical organisation based in Vienna, Austria, which was founded in 1985 in London. It is now the largest organisation dedicated to nuclear medicine in Europe.

 

The EANM's primary goal is to disseminate and discuss the latest results in the field of nuclear medicine, and to facilitate mutual exchange of knowledge related to disease diagnosis and treatment. The EANM acts as an umbrella organisation and brings together over 2,900 individual members and 40 national societies in Europe, plus 20 non-European affiliated societies.

 

The organisation serves a close-knit community comprising physicians, scientists, technologists and other experts working in nuclear medicine or related fields. The EANM is also known internationally for its Annual Congress, which gathers over 7,000 participants every year.
