I moved to Australia from the U.S. at the end of 2012, and began to explore the strange new world around me, fascinated by the exotic plants and animals. I started photographing the nature I saw, and later researching each creature to find out what it was. “Off-World Photos” reflects my mindset at the time – I felt like an explorer on a different planet. But when I returned to the U.S. I found a natural world equally exotic and beautiful had been right in front of me all along. I had simply learned to see a little more of it.
