I’m an avocational historian and lover of the outdoors, especially Texas and the desert Southwest. My inspiration for subjects and style comes from old black and white photography, hand-colored photographs, artistic photo manipulation, pictorialism and impressionism of the late 19th & early 20th centuries. Hooked on infrared photography, not for the usual other-worldly look, but rather for the results it yields in traditional black and white photography, and for hand tinting and painterly works. Also into the painterly quality of ICM. In addition to photography, I'm a long-time Texas musician on a journey from rock, to country, Americana, and now ambient post-rock.
