When I first joined flickr I used a Nikon 880, a fine little point and shoot camera. I used point and shot cameras until 2009, then I got my Nikon D40 with the helpful suggestions of some fine photographers on flickr.

I started our photographing our family and my gardens. Then I saw the photography of Johny Day and his standard poodle, Holly. Even though I loved our pets, I had very few photos of them. So if you see way too many photos of our pets...I'm catching up and making memories of our pets.

Sure I still take family photos, but I prefer to keep those private.

I have so much to learn about photography and photo software. My thanks to the talented people who post their photos on flickr and in the process teach me more than I could have imagined. All of you with your signature style and those who are still discovering and learning....please keep posting and discussing what you do.
