I like to keep photography simple and fun. I'm a pretty observant person and I like the challenge and fun that comes with seeking and catching a good composition. I have no formal training or education in photography but I think this helps my shots to just satisfy my eye - to make ME happy with them. And there is certainly a bonus to learn by doing.

Never mind a majority of the photos in my photostream - I do a lot of shooting at work to document before/after, to help illustrate or plan things for the future, etc.

Macro is probably the greatest fun for me, though it yields me the fewest results as bugs on flowers are so darned hard to sneak up on. I continue to explore various methods, dabbling here and there, and am constantly learning, mostly from reading and seeing about things done here on Flickr and elsewhere. I really like what I'll call here the "macro abstract" approach - the resulting image often more similar to a painting in shapes, lines and color -capturing only enough in an image to make a viewer look twice and figure it out.

Most of my photos serve mostly my memory, but sometimes turn out a little bit better than ordinary snapshots - bonus! I don't Photoshop .... more of a purist in this sense, tweaking only the basics and not relying on digital manipulations ... Simpy being there and getting the shot are the best rewards.

Cheers! Keith

PS - I have restricted dowload permissions on most, if not all, of my photos for various reasons. However, don't mistake this for blanket refusal to allow you to use them - especially for educational uses. Please, simply let me know the image and the use and I'll get you the best image I can.

PSS - My Favorites reflect a creative composition eye and application of lighting that interests me and I am inspired by as a photographer - and it just turns out that the vast majority of subjects are beautiful women! Cheers to those like Angel Vargas and Pollo Olivera that can capture essential aspects of the human form with great taste absent your ordinary raunchiness.
