(NL) Olaf Koens (Chatillon-sur-Seine, 1985) werkt in Rusland en de voormalige Sovjet-Unie als correspondent voor de GPD. Op freelance-basis, want naast zijn dagbladenwerk schrijft hij voor verschillende Nederlandse, Belgische en Russische publicaties, waaronder het weekblad Knack en The Moscow Times. “In dit gedeelte van de wereld liggen prachtige verhalen zomaar op straat, die moeten wel verteld worden.”
