The Organization of American States (OAS) brings together the countries of the Western Hemisphere to strengthen cooperation and advance common interests. It is the region’s premier forum for multilateral dialogue and concerted action. The Department of Human Development, Education and Employment (DHDEE) offers programs that provide scholarships and loans for academic studies and professional xevelopment; innovative online training opportunities; training and knowledge sharing opportunities for teachers and for education policymakers; support for institutional capacity strengthening and horizontal cooperation for education and employment. DHDEE also promotes policy dialogue on education and labor among all OAS member states, and supports the efforts of member states to increase access to quality education and life‐long learning opportunities for all. We recognize that education is a human right, a cross cutting theme to the pillars of the Organization and an essential factor in improving standards of living, driving economic and human development and promoting social inclusion.
