Hello there. I live with my family in Central Auckland. My wife, Anita, and I have two sons, who at the time of writing are 20 and 24, both out flatting and gaining tertiary qualifications of various sorts. My vocation is teaching - English, Drama and History, mostly. My hobby is geology with a focus on fossils. I am very lucky in that my work has allowed me to travel to Europe regularly. I am also lucky in having an understanding partner, who is willing to put up with my eccentric desire to go out and bash rocks. God bless her. Part of my reason for setting up this Flickr account is to provide an online data bank for 'IDing' fossils - particularly those of NZ. Due to not being able to get around every site in NZ, at the moment, these are mostly fossils from the Late Jurassic and Miocene. I hope this will change eventually, as others add to the site.
