I am a Location Scout & location manager for television commercials, music videos, commercial photography, feature films, episodic TV, etc - working primarily in the New York City area for the last 15 years or so -
Photography is something i picked up on the job as a location scout, which led to my interest in digital & 360° panoramic photography, which eventually led me here to flickr - thanks everybody for all the wonderful comments on my photos :)

What is a location scout ? - from wikipedia
Location Scouting is a vital process in the pre-production stage of filmmaking and commercial photography. Once scriptwriters, producers or directors have decided what general kind of scenery they require for the various parts of their work that is shot outside of the studio, a search is begun for a suitable place or “location” outside the studio. Location scouts will also look for appropriately spectacular or interesting locations beforehand, to have a database of locations in case of requests.

Your picures are wonderful !!
Sam, I love the way you see.
His planets remind me of home.
I'm not usually an admirer of heavily manipulated photos but Sam's planets and fractals are really mesmerizing, art in themselves.
Sam just recently made me a contact and I'm glad that he did. His images are just amazing and I love his planets - just beautiful.
He does the BEST "planets" of any I have seen, bar none. If you don't know what I am talking about, check out the photostream. One of my favorite forms of art, perfected and presented for you.
