The New-York Historical Society, a pre-eminent educational and research institution, is home to both New York City's oldest museum and one of the nation's most distinguished independent research libraries.

The New-York Historical Society’s three-year, $65 million renovation of its landmark building on Central Park West, currently in progress and scheduled for completion in November 2011, will further enhance the institution’s status as one of the premier cultural and educational resources in the nation.
