Friends of Morningside is an all volunteer advocacy group dedicated to the ongoing revitalization of Morningside Park in New York City. We were founded in 1981 and gained 501c3 status in 1982. Over the years we have contributed equipment for park maintenance and underwritten staff costs in the park which is maintained and operated by the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation. in 2018 we have contributed over $30K in private funding for the park and sponsored popular community events which are free and open to all.
