We dedicate this site to Connie Fink, a remarkable mother-in-law, and to our wives, who encouraged our adventures and travels.
Years ago we began our exploration of New York City by foot, each Sunday taking the city apart street by street. We never knew where we would walk until we got in the car to cross the George Washington Bridge into New York. An article in a newspaper or an item in the news would often trigger the destination.
As we walk the streets I often would hear Bob say, “Come on Richard, enough with the #@#@!! pictures!” However when the day was done we were glad to have the photographs.
Our travels together have now extended past New York, to the rest of the world. It’s our Sunday walks, throughout the five boroughs of New York, that still remain something we look forward to each week. We have posted, by date, the pictures of our weekend walks. Of course, family obligations and other events occasionally interfere with our weekly constitutions.
Some places are hidden treasures, some are historic, and some are just familiar. All are worth visiting. Here is what we have learned; we realize that even after four years, there is still much to see. And as we all know, there is no city in the world like New York. But, most importantly, as we enjoyed walking the streets of the five boroughs, we also learned to appreciate the value of our friendship.
ENJOY.
