Tone's Toy Planes
Tin toy planes appeared by 1908. 1920s record flights encouraged toymakers to offer colorful, disproportionate planes that are now classics. By 1950, real airliners had increased in power, range, and luxury; toys became more realistic than ever before. Miniature toy jet airliners began with the Comet of 1949. Whether friction or battery-powered, the toy jets recall the glamour and excitement of travel in the 60s through early 1970s.

"We need change, we need it fast, before rock's just part of the past, 'cause lately it all sounds the same to me."-The Ramones
