The New York Area Bisexual Network (NYABN) is a central communications network for bisexual, pansexual, poly & bi-friendly people, groups, resources and events in New York City (The Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens and Staten Island) and the surrounding Tri-State area including Long Island, Westchester County, New Jersey and Connecticut.

The idea being that especially in a large urban area such as NYC there is a lot going on for bisexual people, but that it is sometimes hard for people from one part of the bisexual community to find out about what is happening somewhere else.

The NYABN started back in the day in 1987 doing useful things such as setting up a Bi PO Box that bisexual groups, events, conferences, etc. that didn't have their own can use [still in existence], a "Bi-Info" Telephone Line at 212.459.4784 that listes what is going on in the region and that bisexual groups, events, conferences, etc. that didn't have their own can use [still in existence] and paper schedules, listings, etc. of all the bisexual & bi-friendly "stuff" in the area we could come up with.

Now we have gone "high-tech" and information, links, pictures, contacts and all sorts of goodies are found on our MySpace page, our Blog on LiveJournal, our Facebook page, our Website . . . .
