UPDATE October 31st 2009
So I went floating a river that was too high with some friends this Halloween. We were in my friends hand built wood canoe. It sank taking along with it my D40x and his point and shoot. I am without camera for a while. I was wanting to upgrade but not in this way. I'll be posting some photo's but they will be ones I haven't had time to fiddle with until now!
UPDATE October 31st 2009
I graduated from the University of Arkansas with a Bachelor of Architecture degree. I am an Intern Architect at Wittenberg, Delony, & Davidson Architects, Inc. in Little Rock. Have been working and living down here since May '06.
I have a really great close group of friends who have introduced me to many new things and people and they have made these past few years in the Rock very enjoyable and I cannot thank them enough for it.
So I've been interested in photography for a really long time, but I hadn't made the commitment of buying some good equipment until about August 2007. Since then I've pretty much taken my camera everywhere with me (to the dismay of some of my friends). It is really fun to learn new techniques and look at the world differently. It is quite similar to the way I was before Architecture school and after, just looking at life differently. I am purely an Amateur photographer. One of my friends has helped me out a lot. About the same time my brother has made the leap forward in equipment as well, so we are both having a good time learning and moving forward, although it seams like we aren't moving forward very quickly yet. I love looking around at all the interesting work people have on flickr...it really helps get my creative juices flowing. Keep up the good work all, 'peace and happiness forever'.
Check out my brothers site as well.
