I have spent most of my life traveling around the world. I have lived in 4 countries. When I lived in Kenya I needed something to pass long nights stuck at home. I had always wanted to quilt so I handmade 3 quilts. I had no idea what I was doing, but I made them.

Now a few years later I am living in Ukraine. A friend who has been quilting for years took some time to teach me how to use a sewing machine and the basics of quilting. She is even letting me use her fabric. Good quilting fabric here is so high in price. I have now been machine quilting since September 2009. I have made a few quilts. Each one is a learning experience. I just love making quilts.

I think because I have been traveling for so long, I find quilting makes me feel like I am home. A quilt is something to cling to. It gives warmth, adds beauty where ever it is. There is something comforting in wrapping up in a quilt made for you with love. It reminds me of the Love of God, and how it feels to have his arms around me guiding me through life.

"I sing for joy at the works of Your hands." Psalm 92:4

I love quilting but my heart belongs to God. He has given me a wonderful husband and 3 amazing children. I spend my days loving God, and taking care of my family. In my free time I sit down and get lost in the great big world of quilting.
