Well, what can I say?

As I go involuntarily charging into my 40's (as of this writing I am 43) photography has become my new obsession. We purchased a fujifilm s5200 digital for Xmas, 2006, and I love it. I am still a newbie when it comes to the whole photo stuff, but I am having loads of fun learning.

I try to keep my camera with me on a regular basis. I have a history of making unexpected short sojourns, like missing my exit in San Diego and then driving off the interstate to watch the sunset in the Pacific alone for the first time (my wife was not a happy camper), and I recognize that the fuji camera will not help me in that endeavor-- I have already found myself detouring off of 95 to try to get a shot of a C 130 landing silloueted by the sunset at Wilmington Airport (notice there are none of those shots in my pool, so obviously that did not work out. )

So far no arrests for trespassing or warnings, but my daughter is giving me strange looks as I stalk the sidelines at her soccer games. The pics have been good, and it stops me from being one of 'those' parents yelling in the stands.

However, as my addiction grows, I am already starting to dream of a newer camera-- faster and, of course, more expensive. But for now, I still have to master such basics as the macro lens, and get a tele lens that matches better that the POS I purchased.

Oh, yeah, in case you can't tell, my spelling sucks, and the dyslexia kicks in when I type world like teh, etc. And flickr is great for those ADHD type moments--- it is amazing how far you can drift in a short period of time.
