I’m Paul Freidel, a photographer based in Wallowa County, Oregon. My work explores the quiet edges of the American West — light, weather, animals, landscape, and the spaces between human activity.

I’m drawn to slow moments and lived-in places more than spectacle. The photographs are often as much about atmosphere and memory as they are about subject matter.

Official photographer for several Northwest rodeos. My work has appeared in Chronicle of the Horse, Western Horseman, and other regional and national publications. A large archive of high-resolution images is available for print and digital licensing.
