I am a photographer based in Southern California. My images have been published by National Geographic and appeared in the Editor's Favorite section of the National Geographic Your Shot website. I was a finalist in the international photo competition "Focus on Nature" sponsored by Outdoor Photographer magazine. My shots have also appeared on the San Diego Audubon Society website and the Facebook page of the San Diego Botanic Garden, where I have lectured on Garden Photography.

My work is heavily influenced by these principals:

1. There is no bad light.

2. Don't photograph a subject, photograph about a subject.

3. Show viewers something they know in a way they have not seen before.
