For me, photography is a chance to get inside my own skull. It helps me to reconcile what I observe to what I feel by creating and conveying images that evoke some kind of emotional response or psychological resonance. It is also a way in which I try to connect to other people, by asking the implied question "What does this image mean to you? What does it do to you?"
People usually consider walking on water or in thin air a miracle. But I think the real miracle is not to walk either on water or in thin air, but to walk on earth. Every day we are engaged in a miracle which we don't even recognize: a blue sky, white clouds, green leaves, the black curious eyes of a child -- our own two eyes. All is a miracle.- Thich Nhat Hanh
I fave photos more often than I comment on them. If I mark one of your photos a favorite what I really mean is "I love that, it's awesome, you ROCK, I'd love to have a 20x30 print hanging on my wall, and I don't have anything more intelligent or insightful to say about it than that. So I'm not going to say anything. ;)"
