Nos·toss

nostos (Greek: νόστος), a journey home;

toss (Middle English), to fling or heave continuously about, to and fro, or up and down.

Since embarking on photography late in my teens, I have had a special inclination towards the capture of fleeting moments --- those that come as fast as they go, those that do not allow you the luxury of time to set up all your sophisticated weaponry. You just attempt to grasp at its tail ends, hoping that that instinctive reaction is sufficient to express the wealth of emotion and humanity that had just filled you. To me, travel photography is the epitome of such ephemeral ecstasy.

This photostream is a visual representation of my travels, which are made more poignant by the fact that I am fresh out of my teens. I hope that years down the road, my photography will speak not just of the places I have been, the sights that I have seen and the people that I have met -- but also of my development as a person and as a photographer. You will see desperate assertions of identity, blatant declarations of feminine passion and most importantly, the celebration of similarities and differences that makes life that much more colourful.

I hope you enjoy the journey as much as I do.
