Retired professional and happily married great grandparent. Interests include photography, computing, triathlon, philosophy, history and naturism.

Since retiring twenty years ago, my wife and I have travelled widely, photographing as we have gone through all mainland counties of mainland U.K; and twenty different EU states.

I have thus built up a large portfolio consisting mainly of urban and rural landscapes, architecture, historical sites and my favourite subject... street portraits of people within their everyday environments. I am hoping to expand and improve the latter as I undertake a detailed study of the photographer I most admire...Dorothea Lange.

Most of my work has been done with my trusty Nikon D 40X that I have found to be ultra reliable in the field. (I have since upgraded to a Nikon D5200 that I really enjoy using). I use my phone cam or iPad as electronic sketch pads or aides memoirs when carrying my Nikon is not practical.

I am also very interested in digital editing and over the years have made extensive use of Photoshop and Video Studio.

I record my work in a number of media. Some photographs I have had printed by Jessops (their facilities are far superior to anything I could ever afford). Others I have made into presentations using VideoStudio and adding titles, transitions, music and commentary where appropriate, before saving to DVD or hard disk. Lately I have also made some books beautifully produced for me by www.blurb.com.

To improve the quality of my work I am currently studying City and Guilds Photography under the tutorage of Andrew Midgely.

I am presently concentrating on Joiner photography
