I love to portray mountains, landscapes, travel, cityscapes, urban street and architecture.

My interest in photography began in my late teens cycle touring in France and snapping with a Kodak Instamatic. I soon ventured into the world of 35mm cameras and dabbled in the development and processing of black and white film. My favourite film camera for shooting in black and white was a second hand twin lens Rollei which I still have but no longer use.

I began digital processing in 2017, initially with a Lumix Panasonic GX8 with various lenses. I now use the Nikon Zfc, Z6, Z8 and a selection of prime and zoom Nikon lenses. The mirrorless format suits me because it is more practical for multi day treks through high mountains which is something I love to do with friends and also alone.

I have enjoyed the work of so many great photographers on Flickr and draw inspiration from them and the infinite possibilities for perception and interpretation that their images demonstrate.
