A Montana native I left the state in 1982 to pursue a career in illustration and graphic design. My plan was always to return to Montana in my 40s. I spent '82-'86 in Denver, CO, but was bored to tears with the lack of live music scene and art scene. Moved to Chicago in 1986 and remained there for 20 years.
I always lived in Chicago proper, but was a real gypsy moving every couple of years. Old Town, Buena Park, River West, Belmont and Clark, German Town, Racine and Diversey, German Town and finally Irving Park.
I finally married in 2003 and started a family in 2004 with the birth of my son Peter. With my wife's second pregancy in 2006 we decided to move back to Montana in January 2007.
First in Bozeman, MT but then in 2009 relocating to Helena, MT.
Along the way I worked for a number of firms, freelanced a few years and finally ran my own computer game development company for 8 years. Now, in Montana I'm working for the state office of tourism and loving it. How can you not love the opportunity to sell one of the greatest products imaginable.
