My Dad taught me contact printing at 7, and my first camera was, of course, a Box Brownie. I learned wet processing a long time ago, moving through my Dada's Zeiss Ikon Contaflex, my own Nikon F and Nikon FM, through Canon EOS film bodies when they came out, and I have been almost entirely digital since 2002. My daughter is now into photography, and she is learning to see through the magic of Canon too.
Hardware I mainly use a Canon 5D Mk4 and a Canon R and L glass for most work, a Canon 6D for ocean and astro work, plus some Speedlites and a Godox Witstro for a spot of strobist fun when I feel like it. I still have 5D Mk2 & Mk3 and the original 5D "classic" bodies - now 13 of them - as I couldn't justify getting rid of them. I love Sekonic light meters, and I use the brilliant L-758, L-358 and L-308B meters.
I have condensed everything else down to just an X-PRO1 with a couple of Chinese Noctirux fast primes. These are great photo making tools, especially for travel and I am experimenting with the even lighter Canon M series, which is proving to be even better then the Fujifilm kit.
I also love heavy Manfrotto tripods and heads. I own far too many tripods, just can't help myself. And recently I have got rid of my on-camera Canon Speedlites, and replaced them with a brace of Godox AD200 Pro units, plus a few Godox SK400 studio strobes and of course Godox triggers.
