Hello and thank you for visiting my page.
I live quite close to Norwich, and these are some photographs that I took while wandering around Norfolk, and some others from the occasional little mini-break away from home.
I don't claim to be a pro, the photos that I take are mainly for my own pleasure, but sometimes, some of them are good enough to share - hence this profile.
I've set my photos out into different albums, therefore you can decide what you see and what you don't see.
I've done this because my captures cover old churches, HGV trucks (a passion of mine), towns, cities and villages, flora and fauna, rare or unusual cars, dramatic skies, reflections on water, then perhaps an old builders van thrown in for good measure. In essence, "Norfolk" and "vehicles" would sum up my passions.
But, although there are many vehicles in my photo gallery, please don't think I only take photos of old cars. Yes, I do have an eye for a rare or obscure motor, but in truth, it's the non-vehicular snaps that I prefer taking and posting; they take more imagination, and more skill at framing and composing.
Like most photographers who post online, I fight a constant battle between posting the photos I personally like to take, and those that I know my audience will like.
I cannot, and will not, stop photographing old cars (and lorries, and vans) as there are a great many appreciative car enthusiasts out there, but I will always gain more pleasure from capturing a sunset, a seascape, a lit city at night, a flower, or a quirky old building.
Using the "Albums" feature enables you to be more picky:

Alternatively, you might just want to take pot-luck, and view the photostream in chronological order, to catch up with my latest posts:

(If I've photographed your vehicle, and you're waiting to see it on here, please bear with me - I'm working through an ENORMOUS backlog of cars and trucks, as well as other photos. I'll be drip-feeding them on here, in chronological order, so it could take up to three months before it appears on here.)
And on the subject of vehicle photography, wherever possible, I always try to ask permission to photograph a car, a van, or a truck. If I can see someone with the vehicle, or it's obvious where it's home is, I'll ask. However, it's not always possible, and I can't be waiting around for hours for an owner to appear. So if I've photographed your vehicle, and you're not happy about it, simply drop me a polite message and I'll delete it. I'd rather lose the spot than the goodwill I've garnered over the years with the local community who know who I am, and who know what I do and why I do it.

As for me personally, I'm a bit of a nomad really....I was born in the Black Country area of the West Midlands (Walsall) but at a very young age we moved to East Anglia - Reedham first, then Corton, and then Haddiscoe. My heart and my soul though are on the Isle of Wight, where I hope to retire to as soon as I can.
I do hope you enjoy looking at my photos as much as I enjoyed taking them and sharing them with you.
I will consider requests to use my photography, but please do the polite thing and contact me FIRST, to ask permission.
Many thanks.
Happy browsing!
( **PLEASE NOTE:** I notice that there is a "Norfolk Wanderer" on Instagram, too. That is not me, nor am I pretending to be him (nor him me, I expect)..... it seems that we simply both thought of the same user name! My "Wanderer" comes from me being a Wolves fan!) 🐺
