I'm Julie. I'm a polymerist.

Some of my earlier photos are professional shots done by a very talented photographer in a studio - you'll know them when you see them. I go to the studio in person and do art direction in collaboration with the photographer on each one. I own the rights to them, but he does the photo work.

All the other pictures are taken by me at home with my little camera.

I've been in the arts most of my life - illustrator, graphic designer, art director. Discovering polymer by accident some years ago was kinda life changing.

After having learned so much about this medium from so many - from all the books I bought, from Polymer Clay Daily, and from a hundred other places - not even counting the first full year of nothing but plain old practice, practice, practice - I knew it was time to start giving back in some way.

I don't have an online presence other than this page. I mostly only sell my work at art fairs I get juried into and 2 galleries in my region. It's my full time day job now. I'm too shy to sell on the web. Plus, I just don't know how to do it. Baby steps.

Please keep me in check - I have so many plans and ideas I can hardly keep track of them all!

I'm also still learning about Flickr protocols and etiquette - if I commit a blunder, please tell me.

Inspired has come from a number of other artists, polymer and otherwise: Mary Englebreit, Donna Kato, and Alice Stroppel, to name just a few. Not only because of their fun style and talents, but because of their business sense, too. I'm sure their influence shows in my work.

I've learned a lot, and now it's my turn to start giving back.
