One of the major characteristics of a Muslim Iranian society has to be the ability of its members to always feel at ease about sitting next to each other and engaging one another in an honest and intellectual discourse. Clearly, it is only through this kind of dialogue and open exchanges of ideas that one could possibly think about forming his or her own polished views on important issues that concern us all. Today's Word At Noor-va-Danesh one of our main goals is to provide exactly the kind atmosphere where these thoughts and ideas can converge and, indeed, given an opportunity to blossom and flourish. In the immortal words of Malek ol-Sho'araa Bahar, "truly our aim should be to throw the light of knowledge on our uncertainties, and open the floodgates of science to whoever will seek it." To this end, Noor-va-Danesh shall do its utmost to encourage, assemble and host as wide a range of educational, scientific and cultural workshops, conferences and seminars as possible in order to help re-introduce the true gem that is our rich cultural heritage to the general public and, especially, the second generation Iranians.
