It all started with an antelope...

 

I was taking pictures with an old point and shoot on a vacation to South Dakota back in the day. When I got them back from the photo lab, I couldn't figure out what the subject of some of them were. I had to get a magnifying glass to see the damn antelope!

 

A friend was looking at the pictures and one in particular caught his eye. It was of a lake in the Black Hills and he thought it was composed well. I was hooked! Maybe I could do this!

 

Those two incidences led to the purchase of a manual SLR. I haven't used it for a long time, but a friend got me hooked back into it with my digital point and shoot. Could a DSLR be far behind?
