Failed music journalist turned amateur photographer. The camera's meant to be my girlfriend's but I'm a git. It's my third digital camera, following a Fuji Finepix several years ago, and, more recently, a Canon IXUS. Did some SLR photography at university but not a lot, and it was years ago. Shameless stealer of ideas.

Currently using a Canon EOS 450D with both the stock EFS 18-55mm lens, and a Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II, plus UV and circular polarising filters as and when. Process / edit in Aperture and maybe occasionally Photoshop.

Photographic likes: design items; shallow depth of field; reflections; kittens; cats with CDs; abstraction; nice composition; bokeh; broken, abandoned, and derelict things and places; dirty concrete; doors; windows.

Photographic dislikes: over-processing.
