The NJ Law Enforcement Torch Run is an organization that raises funds and awareness of and for the 25,000+ athletes of Special Olympics NJ. Headed by a committee of 35 law enforcement professionals from around the State, we champion our cause throughout the year at fundraisers and events including our Polar Plunges (Seaside, Wildwood & Asbury Park), Lincoln Tunnel Challenge, golf tournament, Snow Bowl, United Airline Plane Pull, pasta dinners, and of course our signature event...The Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics NJ. The Torch Run culminates in the lighting of the SONJ Olympic Cauldron at Opening Ceremonies for the Summer Games. THE NJLETR has been a WORLD-WIDE leader being ranked in the Top 5 in fund-raising for over 30 years. Through 2023, it has raised $70 million for Special Olympics NJ since its inception 40 years ago.
