My current mission to catch: an E80 Toyota Corolla on ACT rego that is not white! (Excludes the legendary AE86)

I have liked cars for a long time but only really started becoming passionate about them in the last 4 or 5 years. I began enthusiastically photographing cars in late 2020. I would photograph the odd car before that, but was far more interested in photographing number plates. And by rego checking these plates, I know I have missed some fantastic cars - why didn't I photograph the whole car??? For less than a year, I initially posted my car photos on a Google Site I had created before I moved to Flickr in August 2021.

It was only Ford that I used to like, but when I actually started gaining an passionate interest in cars, I quickly became passionate about so many other brands! Mainly Toyota, Hyundai/KIA, Nissan, Honda, Mazda, Holden, and more recently Mitsubishi and elusive brands like SsangYong. I do like European brands, but not as much as Australian, Japanese and Korean. My favourite Euro brand is CUPRA.

Since 2020, I will photograph any car for absolutely any reason, or in some cases, no reason at all! I don't tend to photograph pick-ups unless there is something unique about them. I love pretty much any normal family or small car from the 80s or 90s so I try and look out for these ones!

What I am trying to capture is what is driving around now, old or new. I love looking through old photos and seeing what was on the road back then, only wishing these cars were still around - I kind of want to recreate this while still being passionate about what I photograph!
