Age 10: Got a Topcon SLR Camera with a half broken shutter

Age 11: First darkroom (actually it was my shower converted at nights)

Age 12: Got a Yashica D twin lens from a dear friend

Age 13: Bought my first camera, Pentax K1000 + 50mm lens

Age 14: Sold my first photos to a Dutch magazine

Age 15: More lenses

Age 16: Got a Pentax ME Super + motor

Age 18: Sold my Pentax equipment and got a Nikon F3 + lenses

Age 20: Fully professional shooting as free lance for several newspapers and mags.

Age 21-2: Bought a Nikon F4s + 801s (8008s), 8 Nikkor lenses

Age 22: Opened my first studio with a partner and good friend (www.bgabriel.com), also got a Toyo 4x5, Hasselblad, Yashica T4 (incredible camera), etc

Age 23 - 27: Shot a lot of stuff commercially, protraits, fashion, art, magazine covers, etc. Also photographs appeared in around 15 books. My last book "On Healing Herbs and Spices" was a national best seller (15 reprints to date)

Age 28: Quit my career as a professional photographer

Today: Shoot mostly for fun.
