Practice makes perfect... or at least makes my photos suck less.

I'm teaching myself to roll up my sleeves, prop up the hood, and move beyond point and shoot.

Before acquiring a DSLR, I thought I had an okay eye for composition. Since this incredible piece of machinery and wizardry was placed in my hands, I've learned that I know nothing, that I can shoot nothing, but that I can turn to Flickr for a wealth of inspiration.

So this website is my repository of baby steps. Any tips, advice, technique recommendations, commiseration, or virtual pats on the back are very welcome.
