Nina Elo-Piacquad has an appreciation for elegant interior design. As the daughter of a Finnish architect/engineer she was surrounded by mid-century modern architecture and design. She recalls visiting buildings, bridges and dams in Northern Europe and the United States with her father to observe their beauty of design as well as their function. This emphasis of form serving function is evident in her room designs. Her window treatments work to control light and privacy as well as frame the windows. Fine furniture and fabrics in the rooms are edited to steer clear of frill and formality.
