I first got into photography with a used Canon SLR and a black-and-white development kit that I set up in a home darkroom, which was really the spare bedroom with blackouts taped over the windows anytime I wanted to develop photos.

I then relapsed into a point-and-shooter for several years as the compact and APS cameras became popular. When digital came in, I got a low-megapixel model that was fun to use but with results that rarely failed to disappoint.

Eventually good quality DSLRs became affordable and rekindled my enthusiasm for making pictures rather than snapshots.

What do I like to shoot? Anything really, but you can probably see themes from my photostream. I also enjoy sports photography, most of which isn't posted here, and photographing friends and family, but they never have any patience for it.

I get great inspiration from the creativity I find on flickr , hopefully I can reciprocate in a small way with my contributions to this community.
