This site is dedicated to the heroes who fought for our freedom and to share the images of the areas where they so bravely fought, the images shown do not in anyway encourage or promote war, the images are intended to give you an interest in learning more surrounding the images you see. I will where possible describe the image and the part of history they relate. There is also a group I have created for anyone to share their images of battlefields visited or museums

Please feel free to post your WW2 related images and share the page with your friends.
This images on this site are WW2 related maybe taken in modern times but relate back to something relating to the war, it maybe a bunker or a derelict building, but in some way there is a photographic link to another story, first and foremost I will always try to capture an memorable image first, and behind the image the story.
Enjoy the picture's please feel free to comment, like or favourite an image, please refrain from foul and abusive language, enjoy the images and pictorial story of our adventures. Life is not a rehearsal !!
Think of this site as a photographic journey to the history that still remains today, a lot of my links to others are related to their journey's and places I have not yet visited, in order to give anyone viewing these images an idea of what they can visit still today.
I hope the page shows a balanced view of war as I try to capture all sides of WW2 and WW1 where so many lives were lost.
LEST WE FORGET !! They Gave Their Lives For Your Freedom.

Hi Paul. Thank you for you kind comments, which are really appreciated. The sentiment is mutual in our common interests, for sure. I do enjoy your page as well. Let’s hope that we'll all have the opportunity to travel again pretty soon, enriching our photographic portfolios.

Thank you very much, Paul, for taking this initiative to honor all those people who gave their lives for the freedom of others. I have been a military pilot and then an airline pilot and every time we flew over emblematic places such as the beaches of Normandy, Sicily and many other places, I always reminded "my" passengers that in that place thousands of young people had renounced a happy future with family and children to the rest of the human beings and that we should be eternally grateful.
