UPDATED PROFILE September 2024

Before you read more you should know this:

Sexually, I have only ever been in relationships with natal females, and I can’t envisage that changing, so if you wish to entertain me with your flickrstream, it would be best to avoid displays of male genitalia, yours or anyone else's, they are simply of no interest to me and could result in me blocking you.

I live alone. I have lost the two closest women in my life, both of whom knew Nikki.

Although I’ve desired to wear female clothes since I was about four, it was only in the 1970’s that I actually bought just a few clothes for myself (soon after to be disposed of). In the 80’s I joined the TV/TS Support Group (London) and attended a few of their meetings in drab. In 2000 I started chatting on the internet with other Tgirls and in 2002 Nikki appeared with the help of Barbara T, who ran a dressing service in Folkestone. For some years from then on, Barbara and I co-ran an MSN site for Tgirls (SCCD) and I was an admin on a few other sites. From 2002 SCCD held get-togethers for Tgirls, their wives and partners. My dear friend Barbara’s illness led to such tailing off in the late 2000’s, although by that time I was on flickr. Flickr proved a lifeline and with a trip to Ireland in 2018, Nikki started appearing in public again. Flickr is the only social medium I participate in and I am a strong advocate of using it in a positive way in promoting kindness. Friendships of mine encompass people of different sexualities and genders. My mantra could be from WB Yeats

I have spread my dreams under your feet;

Tread softly because you tread on my dreams.

I use flickr as a repository for photographs I have taken and that one or two people elsewhere in the world may also be interested in. They are my copyright. Although most of my photos are self-portraits, I hope people can also see that I’m happy enough to have the balloon of my own vanity pricked!

Age has starting to take its toll, and my body has, in the last few years, demonstrated that in spades - no matter, life is what it is. As Confucius wrote: “We have two lives, and the second begins when we realize we only have one.”

Other stuff: I’m intrinsically shy, although less so when dressed. I am intelligent, supposedly, but that’s for others to determine. My main interests are botany and conservation, with a love of landscape thrown in. Although now alone, I continue to enjoy cooking, eating and drinking. My musical tastes have evolved over the years. I may be found listening to Mahler and other classical composers as well as a bit of Celtic, European Folk and Fado, but I’ll never turn away from Springsteen or the Velvet Underground. OTOH, I have never knowingly heard Taylor Swift, or Oasis!

I am happy to correspond with like-minded people.
