About Me.
I live in the beautiful but rugged Blue Mountains World Heritage area near Sydney in Australia. I enjoy hiking & exploring Mother Nature here. I've been a pretty keen photographer for the last 30yrs. I'm also a pretty keen traveller & enjoy long overseas trips to taste different cultures. I've visited India, Nepal, Thailand & Bali. But there's a whole lot more I want to see. I've got a passion for music & like to get out regularly to see live concerts. Other interests include movies, reading, art, festivals exhibitions, tennis, good food & coffee. Oh & my Mac. :)
I've read that good photographers are supposed to focus on a particular style & hone their technique to master it. Well, I guess that makes me a pretty crap photographer as I really enjoy a broad range of photography!!
What I like to shoot:
Landscapes (especially waterfalls & sunsets).
Macro (the miniature world incl. flowers & abstracts).
Architecture (developed this passion in recent years).
Gigs & Festivals (love music)
Events (Vivid, Sculptures, Winter Magicfest, Ironfest)
Portraits (people - both posed & candid/street)
Nightscapes (its a different world after dark)
Light Painting (creative fun with torches)
Urban Exploration (abandoned buildings & ruins)
Historical Sites (especially in the Blue Mtns where I live)
What I want to explore more in my photography:
Black & White (the world in mono)
Long Exposures
Panos (got the 'bug' recently)
Wildlife (when I get a big lens)
Motorsport (ditto)

This machine of a man can reverse tilt shift free lens and manual focus with a 500mm at 2am to capture the crispest halo from a snowflake sublimating in silver moonlight all from the drivers seat of his Subi at 130 km/h! Really a true connoisseur of his stomping ground, the spectacular Blue Mountains.
