Studied Human Computer Interaction in Keio University, Tokyo. Aspired to learn and work in field of how everyday things are involved in people's lives, went to Nokia Research Center in Finland in 1999 as Research Scientist. After five years of research device concepts, interaction research to context research, moved to Nokia China to work for R&D center in Beijing. After three years of another fabulous experience, moved to Nokia Design in Tokyo.

Now I run my own business as a consultant for design research and user experience. I am currently writing a book about carrying behaviors together with my colleague in Nokia.

When it comes to photos I upload, many are simple memorandum of my everyday life. At moment the photos I post are mostly about my daughter, as my husband and I are from different countries and our family members are desperate to see how she is doing today.

Time to time, I wish to capture something that I find unique, interesting, or disturbing. Such feelings arise as I compare my experience living in different countries, such as Finland, China, US, and Japan. All countries I have lived had its own beauty, values, efficiencies, and naturally, those in reverse. Typically I am surprised at things first, but many emotions pass away as they become routines. I hope to capture them before that happens.

Comments I receive bring many insights from different cultures, and I always appreciate the diversity and discussions.
