Bill Hoffman – my friend and mentor, is an artist of light. He is like the rest of us - he is a fellow photographer. Yet, there is something that makes him stand out. He has found his place. His niche. His calling. It is a place where few of us stand or sit. Bill, Nightwing5, is a mature child (nay man) who colors the sky with clouds and sunrays. Bill has been there. When the sun rose above the summer horizon, Bill was there. He was there when a single rainbow pierced the sky with an arch of color. Bill was there when blue, orange, crimson, gray, purple, red cumulus clouds seem like perfect artist canvas thrown down from heaven. Bill was there when the sky and its clouds were perfect snapshots and venues of what is big and beautiful about nature. Bill is an artist, an engineer of light, a presenter of perfection, and a displayer of unwritten ideas and expression. He is the cloud man. The duke of the sky. He makes you SEE a sunset, a sunray, a celestial sea of beautifulness. I have never visited the Northeast or upper New York. It would be nice to visit the area. I will one day.
