I love B&W, creative, and dramatic images that do more than just record a scene, but also convey a mood or tell a story.

I live in the UK, in the Norfolk countryside, but often commute into London. I rarely make time to deliberately take photos and most of my shots are opportunistic, captured as I am out doing something else.

In my youth I spent too many days in the school darkroom, and a further seven years working in photography after school. But most of those years were spent in the darkroom processing and printing! With the advent of digital photography, I finally escaped the darkroom and moved into high-end digital retouching.

I love re-touching and editing pictures, adding filters and creative crops, the lot! This is not to everyone's taste, but the grand masters 'edited' their pictures using techniques I was taught in the darkroom. Dodging, burning, massaging paper emulsion, pre-fogging, cross processing...I could bore you for England.

I also love to be challenged photographically, and am constantly inspired to try something new and different by the people I admire and follow on Flickr!
