I'm a keen traveller, and have explored many fantastic and interesting places in Europe, Asia and America. I'm lucky enough to make up my working day as I go along, in the sleepy seaside town of my birth, where I'm a director of my own company as well as being a prolific freelance writer and photographer, having published a number of works of fiction, non-fiction and a collection of photography books.

I write about my travels in my blog, www.worldtravelblog.co.uk, which has steadily become a successful business in its own right since its launch in April 2008, attracting international advertisers.

Following a photoshoot in Chernobyl and Pripyat in 2008, myself and my partner set up a charity to raise money for the children at the Gomel Children's Hospital in Belarus - you can support us at www.chernobylheart.org.uk

Photography and writing are my passions, as well as the old Universal monster movies, which I celebrate on my website www.classicmonsters.co.uk

I launched my photography website in 2013, www.nigeburtonphotography.co.uk, at which time I commenced my training courses.

For my photographic work, I use a Canon EOS 5D Mk II, and a 5D as my back up.
