Nic Skovgaard graduated from SIUC in 2007 with a degree in Speech Communication, focusing on public relations, marketing and journalism. He has worked with hundreds of local Southern Illinois businesses through his time at the Williamson County Tourism Bureau, the Arthur Agency, Withers Broadcasting, and his current position as the Marketing Director for Taylor Motor Company. In addition to his love for amateur photography, graphic design and writing Nic spends the majority of his free time working as President for the Young Professionals organization 13Pro, promoting Local First Southern Illinois, and helping to run his family’s bookstore..

Nic currently lives in Herrin, IL with his beautiful wife Nancy and his daughter Ariana.
