Photography is my therapy. It makes me stop, breathe and reflect on what I am seeing before me. I mostly shoot film these days with a Hasselblad 500cm and a Leica Minilux point and shoot, although you may see things from my archives shot with digital or the myriad of other cameras I own or have owned in my past. I love Nicole. She rocks my socks off, all the time, and I am lucky enough to get to hang with her pretty darn often...she is a bubble goddess, a bokeh sensei, she has sparkly stars hanging from her rearview mirror, AND she is full of SASS and kindness!! Highly recommended!! ;-)
Quite possibly the queen of depth of field. *scratch that* She is THE owner of bokeh. Period. I am often inspired by the beautiful, often simpleness in her photos, but as simple and subtle they can be, the more breathtaking the result.
I love Nicole. It should be noted that I know her only through flickr and have never met her, but I love her. She is unfailingly honest in her photography, inviting everyone into her real world. I come here and linger, because I love the way she sees the world. I also like her taste in shoes. ;)

Your face will hurt from laughing, your belly will feel like you did 100 sit-ups from the time you will spend doubled over in fits of hysteria. She is FUNNY, smart, has GREAT Emergency room stories, excellent taste in hats, and a decent hockey knowledge. (and apparently sexy little feet) OH! And she takes some of the best pictures on flickr. (Well she has a nice camera. so....) I love me my Nicole!

I have watched her grow through watching her stream, and her journey in photography has been so inspiring that it has made me a better photographer along the way. Nicole is also beautifully human, which shines through in her photographs; she doesn't rely on processing to make her photos beautiful, and she, like her photos, has a glorious "take me as I am" element that I know other people notice and admire as well. Nicole is also a great friend and someone with whom I feel a great sense of camaraderie and sameness. This is really fantastic and I can't wait to get to know her better. Oh yeah, and we totally would have gotten into a lot of trouble together in younger years. ;-)
