For my thesis, for a MS degree in Historic Preservation at the School of the Art Institute, I did a survey of Ghost Signs found in Chicago. I had upwards of 400 individual signs some of which can be found on my old, slightly dysfunctional website. I never updated that site but hopefully I will be better at uploading photos to flickr.
