Although my work sometimes appears to deal with religious themes, I actually adhere to a completely atheistic outlook on life, hence my interest in the failure and loneliness that cities, religions or societies can create. One of the principal objectives of my art is to show that transcendence, joy and escape from suffering are all things that only humans beings can offer to one another. So although people often think that my work is "dark" or "tragic", it is actually quite the contrary. Thus: L'art de Lumiere.
