Currently shooting with a Leica Q-P which has satisfied my lust for supreme quality engineering; for me this is the perfect camera - the combination of simplicity with great design and solid construction. In every situation it just does what you expect.
Previously, and for most of the images posted here I was using a Lumix GF1 with the fabulous 20mm pancake lens, and also a digital viewfinder, which could be angled straight up so images could be taken whilst you were looking down into the camera Rolleiflex style which draws far less attention to the photographer in situations where you're close to the subject. The camera also allowed me to shoot in a square format, which I also found pleasing. This combination has served me brilliantly and really still performs excellently to this day in spite of being more than 10 years behind the cutting edge of camera technology.
Processing is uniformly Photoshop + Nik Efex Pro / Colour Efex Pro. Brilliant tools that more than meet all of my requirements. I'm not sure if these are even still available, and I'm sure there are newer and highly capable editors around, but they have served me well and will continue to do so.
Since I joined Flickr in 2008 I have loved looking at other people's amazing work - so many great images, and such a brilliant source of inspiration from all corners of the world. I hope you enjoy looking at my eclectic stream (my theme is 'no theme') as much as I enjoy viewing all yours, feel free to drop me a message or invite me to groups if that's your thing. Peace out.
