Hello, my name is Nick Oliver. As a kid I was always enamored with photos. I had a photo album before I had video games. I recall taking my camera to Pt. Pelee in the 2nd grade. I took a Kodak camera to Space Camp 2 years later. As a teenager I carried around few possessions in my time living aloof. One was a photo book, with family and friends on every page.

As one friend put it, "you have an obsession with the past." I think what he meant was that I am passionate about my photography and what I put in to it is an obsession. I am comfortable with that because those who are obsessed tend to care about their craft.

I love capturing images, and my subjects are wide-ranging. I try to do my best and learn each day so that I am better for it, and in return my photos increase in quality. I follow a circle of photographers that vary in skill, but not in determination or love. Those are the artists I want to emulate. For me photography is my design careers anti-venom, a place where my style is not going to waiver but instead my skills allow me to adapt it to a specific situation. That is the mark of the greatest photographer: they all have their specialty, but could create masterful images under any conditions and with virtually any gear. That, is a photographer.
